Get out of town!

That's what we did. We visited friends who live about an hour south of Stockholm. It was great to go down there one last time. Saturday was a gorgeous sunny day and the snow sparkled as if it were full of diamonds. Most homes in Sweden are painted a dark barn-red color which looks fabulous in a snowy landscape. I could live like this....

Swedish Home

The boys ran around outside playing "Kick the Can" in the snow with the dads, and sledding down a hill that ends up in a snowy field. Grownups enjoyed coffee around the kitchen table, playing the game "Catchphrase" (which was hilarious), and going for a ride into the village for some milk. A relaxing, memorable time.

The sun is evading us once again. It hovers low in the horizon, even at midday. By 3:30 its dusky and by 4:00 its dark. But when its this beautiful outside, we don't mind so much.
