Babytalk's Beautiful Cover Photo
I am glad that Babytalk made this their cover photo! I think it is beautiful and tastefully done (no pun intended!) What could be more natural than a picture of a baby receiving nourishment from his mother, especially on the cover of a magazine called "Babytalk?" I've heard there is a lot of controversy back home over this. I think it is ridiculous.
Today, I walked with Clara to our little local grocery store. I was shocked by a picture of some breasts I saw, attached to an attractive woman, but this magazine was pornographic. The magazine was on a lower shelf where a child of any age would have been exposed to it.
There is a huge difference between these two photos of a woman's breasts. You know what the differences are. And I know. It upsets me very much that we are outraged by the beauty of motherhood, when we should be shocked and angry about the porn that is taking over the minds and hearts of so many.
Shame on us.

I hear ya. The cover of People had this big statement, "I'm G*Y". I was so apalled standing in the line at Wal-Mart and having to see that. I agree that that is a beautiful photo. That same day in Wal-Mart was a woman walking around in her bikini (with some see-through dress thing over it)- yet if you walk around nursing your baby people give you such looks! Such a shame!
Dear Princess Ruby,
When I click the link you leave in my comments, it takes me to your profile, but I can't link up to your blog! Can you please leave your blog address here sometime, so I can come visit you? Thanks!
Marla
Oh, I think that is beautiful, too. I had heard the buzz, but hadn't seen the photo.
Big deal, right? Nothing sexy about that photo...it is a baby getting the best nourishment possible!
